Mama’s Packing List
Taking little ones out and away from the comforts of home can sometimes mean hauling a lot of extra stuff. Here are some tips I’ve found to be helpful when out and about.
- Rather than carrying around a huge diaper bag, keep a small box of supplies in the car. I usually have an extra towel, a change of clothes, some diapers and a lot of wipes in the car at all times. Typically we’re not too far away from the car if we need any of the items and it frees up my arms.
- Always have snacks on hand! I find this is particularly important when we’re trying to get home for a nap time and someone is sleepy. Having something to munch on helps keep the little ones awake until they are home in their own bed.
- Always keep a small stroller in the car (or baby carrier for really little ones). You never know when adventure calls and it helps to be prepared with wheels.
- Enlist the kiddos in carrying some of their own things. Start early and get them in the habit of bringing along at least their own sippy cup. One less thing for a Mama to carry is certainly helpful.
